It will show you the "best" illuvial on that map scan, as well as in the overworld. But there are situations where say, you see a t5s1, and it can have like a t1s3 inside of it, because the weight of the t5s1 is higher. I don't think any of us know the formula for this, especially with the holo's everywhere. If you see something that seems more weighty than the thing you are looking for, might be best to scan it.

Missions and milestones are automatically generated. Their timing is automatically set. It simply does not know that the game won’t be playable anymore.

Survival difficulty is varied based on the team provided and the random opponents.

From what past players have said usually the team provided is the biggest factor, outside of skill.

I'd do it anyway. It's a good opportunity to see how it works, I also imagine it will change.
Learning where to put buildings and how to maximise path bonuses, along with resources management, it will be of benefit to you once it's all wiped and we start again. Plus I believe they need as much feedback as possible to fine tune it atm.
