mine finally worked.

Initially I got the "you bought it, load disk?" clicked it but nothing seemed to happen.

When the disk shows up you actually have to click on the graphic to kick off the IMX transaction (like you're opening the disk). and then once you sign the transaction it seems to open up.

But when I did the "My profile" that people pointed towards, it seemed to spin and spin and spin, but now I'm seeing my disks in my inventory

There’s bridges that can go from LoopRing to IMX if you’re comfortable using those

Orbiter.finance (do your own research) is how I tend to move from IMX <-> LoopRing. Downside is it’s only eth. Upside here is…it’s ETH!

Pending rewards need to be claimed to start compounding, that's correct. That could get confused with withdrawing vested rewards, which doesn't need to be done - Tokens and rewards that are finished their lock period continue to be eligible for yield farming rewards and revdis if you leave them staked.
