How do I get more shards?

To get more shards in Illuvium: Overworld, players can follow these steps:

1. Explore the Crimson Waste region and look for ore deposits. These deposits can be found scattered throughout the region.

2. Use the R key to extract the deposit up to 3 times, this has a chance to yield some uncured shards.

3. Return to Sanctum Mesa, the central hub of the game, where you can access the Forge.

4. At the Forge, use the Cure Shards option to convert your uncured shards into usable cured shards.

5. Go to your locker storage and open it by pressing the E key. Navigate to the Shards tab and click the shards you want to move to your inventory.

6. Once the shards are in your inventory, you can use them in future travel cycles to capture Illuvials and craft upgrades.

Keep in mind that different Illuvials require different tiers of shards to be captured, so you may need to collect and cure multiple types of shards to build your best team. Also, the higher the stage of the Illuvial, the more difficult it will be to capture, so make sure you have the right equipment and upgrades to increase your chances of success.

So energy resets when you start a new run, right now you get 5000 within a travel cycle, and it doesn't replenish until you start a new run.

Crypton (the green stuff you spend on travel cycles) is a type of Fuel, you spend Crypton to start a new travel cycle (Stage 1, 2 or 3).

sILV2 is an alternative to Fuel, which you can spend on anything that you could use Fuel for.

It's subjective. I prefer travelling the overworld grinding to upgrade things & looking to capture rare illuvials. But maybe when PvP Ascendant arena comes out that might be preferable for me? It's all really good so far, especially considering it's in private beta testing.

Hello, I'm an Illivium beta player. My computer model is "dell inspiron 3593" and I am using windows 10 operating system. Even though I set the game's graphics settings to the lowest settings, I'm having a lot of stuttering problems in the game. I can play "World of tanks" on this computer at its lowest settings with "SD mode" without any problems. I wonder if an update can be made where the graphics settings are lowered further and the game is more fluid without stuttering? Thanks.

I think biggest issue is time. Most gaming projects only started maybe 2-3 years ago thats way too little time to build a triple A game even for big studios, not to mention most crypto gaming projects are startups. In the next 3-5 years tho I think we will have quite a few good games with decent economy. For p2e aspect I dont think long term it will ever beat min wage in first world countries cuz eventually ppl in cheap labor countries will ape in and compete for lower prices.

I think that's debatable - A game would have to be substantially better than WoW to draw players away, because games like WoW have a lot of time investment, and that makes players reluctant to leave. If a game were say, 10-20% better than WoW (I think there are games like that), it wouldn't be the "WoW killer".

Drawing players away from an MMO is SUPER hard to do, people don't want to leave all their progress behind. In general, MMOs are a pretty unique space in gaming, just because players have SO much investment in their characters/accounts.

Also, what makes money in eSports is not the cash-prizes it's the sponsorships and image rights. (just like in physical sports like football or basketball)
so as long as illuvium won't have a large enough public to watch the games, the money of the cash prizes alone won't make it.

I use my CAD to buy USD (because lots of games will only take USD), that gets deposited into my Steam account, and the game I'm making a purchase through returns to the Txn, which has locked the price of what I'm buying for 10 min or whatever (to stop me from being like, $.01 short if currency varies), and I authorize the purchase.

To argue the opposing point, as I understand it: It's a fun element of gamification, that will allow users to have agency in when they onboard currency, since they have the ability to onboard and stock up on Fuel when the price is low, but can choose to avoid paying when the price fluctuates to the high end.

I mostly don't think that's how people will onboard (especially new people), but there's some truth to it. For example, I'll wait for a Steam sale to buy a game, or a PoE shop sale to buy a new stash tab or whatever. People ARE willing to optimize their spending, but when spending is a core part of gameplay it's a bit different.

I'm not sure how accurate it is, but doing a run where you get 0 points should place you beneath everyone who generated more than 1 point in a run. That should be an approximate way to estimate DAU, assuming the leaderboard tracking is all working properly.

The amount of times an illuvial runs/escapes is a lil much. Especially after using an epic or resplendent
