The majority of work is still done in house, there are a couple outsourcing studios that are used. I think they have mostly been tasked with creating assets for overworld and doing part of the set dressing for the regions, plus one studio that creates the low-poly versions of some models for graphics optimization.

Yes. Abyssal basin by Leartes (initial version) now crystal shores, Taiga Boreal... those regions have been seeing a lot of development and improvement 😄 but most of that seems to have been set dressing with illuvium created assetd.

Yes, I aware of that. Still, I believe it is a great decision to off-load the main team that is working tirelessly in-house on some many things they have planned.

I just played a lot of PB1, then had a big break, and now playing PB2 feels so awesome again, the game is going to be best ever created in this genre.

Oh yeah totally agree that it was a smart move. I was just clarifying that Illuvium has mostly in house devs compared to a lot of other projects that outsource almost 100% of their work.
Its one of the things that I like about Illuvium that the team and founders are so closely intertwined in their roles and work. It allows for a lot more collaborative creativity and quick decision making which is super important in an emerging market like this.

The best part about Illuvium is the team behind it. I've put in so many hours watching interviews of Kieran, watching showcases with Grant, and reding medium articles by Aaron. The thing that stands out the most is the authenticity! Its such a breath of fresh air.
