See I haven't been very active in the whole Web3 and NFT space.. I learned about everything a few months ago but then I left it all due to some issues. And there's something that's come up and I believe I should pop back on discord and ask someone who's more knowledgeable than me. The thing is that right now I am a part of a senior council of a student organization, we organize various events for the development of entrepreneurial skills amongst our members. We do panel discussions with various successful thought leaders, and student founder networking sessions as well. Recently we were approached by an organization that claimed to be an NFT marketplace, and they want to leverage our organization to put their name on the map. When we met them the first time, they claimed to have a community of 9,000 people, when I looked them up, their twitter, facebook and discord combined showed no more than 200 people, When I asked them upfront to show those 9,000 people, they came forward and said they don't have a community but they want to make one. Moreover, the website which they initially claimed to be a marketplace turned out to be just a display website that would redirect the viewer to opensea or the official website of that project when the buy now button is clicked. Now these guys want us to direct our team to become their marketers and they are not even providing us with something good in return.

do you have any kind of advisor or connection to the school? i would raise your concerns to them, going over the head of the president. This is potentially serious and there's a lot of scams in the space, and this doesn't feel right to me. There may be something at a higher level or that this agreement goes against school policy. Too many people are naive and its a big risk. I would definitely pursue it and follow up on your concerns here.
