• If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
• New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat

NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.

There's not really a full "beginner's guide" as the game hasn't been launched yet. Right now, it is just the Autobattler arena which is being tested in Survival mode PVE. It is a private beta so if you are interested in applying, you can do so at the link below.

@split lintel i have actually wanted 2 iip but i gone to the council ( different councils ) i been here a while 1 was to make make sliv2 non tradable when it was introduced after the exploit and the other was to increase staking times and weight in order to encourage relocking of stakes . Both were basically voted no so i didn't bother .

I'm not keen on this on this. I feel it creates way to much endless and ongoing discussion with multiple people having multiple views., Have ideas, yes 100 percent. Yet iips should go to council first. Perhaps it could be a summarized version with a a short time frame to discuss, like 2 days then an emoji vote, to see if it has enough traction then goes to council. I don't believe DOAs can be sustainable if there isn't a a proper flow system. If every idea has the same amount of floor time, it becomes a monkey house, and endless roundabout and nothing actually gets decided plus it leaves things open to multiple changes and lack of cohesion before, implemented changes have a chance to prove worthy or not. Its impossible to make everyone happy, yet i feel it can be structured in an equitable way.

People will either be interested or not. Its just like politics, all one can do is provide the information, present the facts then its up to people to be engaged or not. Unless its made compuslory or they start fining people or offer money or some sort of reward. It will always be those who are and are not interested in that aspect.

To be honest I have felt illuvium has given to much power, knowledge and say to the whole DOA.

The community members who have been here a long time and watched the evolution of illuviums DOA have question about how effective it is and what sway whales have over it

think of this this way we started with 10 million potential ILV however 3 million are able to trade their existence to another token in this case sILv-2

everyone who claims part of that 3 million yield get a choice on whether or not that trade will happen .

when the first person choose to make 1 Silv-2 the maximum ILV in existence dropped to 9 999 999

Every time silv-2 is used it is burned out of existence.

Silv-2 is a finite resource that will go extinct sometime after yield end in July 2024. that is just a fact. If you have 10 balls in a bag and you keep taking them out without replace them eventually there will be no balls in that bag.

making sliv-2 redeemable as revdis would essentially make silv-2 infinite and destroy the balance and revdis unless there was a burn mechanism introduced it . @split lintel there was actually an iip proposal that never made it to a vote a long time ago very in depth and seem to make sense at the time and for a time I was for it but my opinion as changed

I agree . I am no longer for continuing sliv-2 and also don't think ILV needs to be deflationary after the Yield has ended . I would like to see a bunch of sinks to get rid of as much SILV-2 as possible as quick as possible and then do as Aaron envisions (assuming his opinion on this matter has not changed).

Its a tricky balance, we need structure and clear guidelines around implementing ideas and having discussions or they never resolve. yes ideas discussed and taken not of. Find a quick way to gauge relevance and interest on something, if enough are interested, onus on person wanting the change to engage and educate why, then it goes to council?

Sadly I think people may be focusing on if spiders 🕷 are good or bad and not on the importance of the process

I'm happy to go with people who understand math's on his one. When there is a topic I don't understand enough to make an informed choice on my own I ask multiple people who do have the knowledge, then take all their differing views and work out what i think is best. I’ve seen plenty of concerns raised, and responses from the team that they are aware and incorporating it into v2. I have no concerns that I think aren’t being considered, and I’ll wait for govV2 before reevaluating.

I can’t speak for Fraggy but as I see it she is trying to test how to best go through the process so she can explain it to others and to see how and if it works well.

In my experience when in group decision making, there are certain types of people and dynamic that occur, they need to be moderated or it all falls apart. I have a feeling Fraggy will be great at that. When we all agree on a set of values and rules and their meaning. If myself or another stray from that, I loose my right to contribute, until I can return to the agreed upon guidelines and topic.
