I have played for hours and hours and hours and hours, mainly on stage 3 runs (which woun't be a reality after game launch), and still didnt fuse a single stage 2 into a stage 3 creature!! The xp needed for that needs to change...

respectfully, disagree. the game definitely needs a grind and it's not realy that hard to get to S3. it's ~145 encounters (400xp per encounter); which becomes 74 is you use consummables. which then becomes 37 if you double up or even 25 if you triple up. assuming just 5 encounters per map, it's only 5 maps. you can do it in a day if you want.

and it's deceptive b/c even if you don't double/triple up, it just means you can level 6-8 illuvials over 3 days instead of 1 in 1 day.

eh, yeah, i think it's more like 400 but i can double check. b/c, as you've noted, flintcap is 100%... so you get like 800 with flintcap. it definitely varies, i've gotten more and I've gotten less. Also, I'm not sure how less than 8 illuvials (or the actualy mastery points for your team) affects the xp awarded

either way, I think it's fairly straightforward to level to S3 - its just a grind.

@strong swallow you were correct, each encounter is approx 250-300 xp. I ran 6 encounters. there definitely seems to be some "bonus" for having a larger difference between the encounter mastery points and your master points, and each encounter gave a different xp. also, the consummables give exactly 3x xp in all encounters. Weird b/c i had an earlier data set which had approx 400 and had an exact 2x for consummables. I'm guessing they "tweaked" the xp formula...

so, yeah, use those consummables if you want to level up your illuvials
