Update drivers and Windows and reboot
  1. For Nvidia Users:
You can update drivers via Geforce Experience or their driver page.
  2. For AMD Users:
You can check for updates using the AMD Radeon Settings or by navigating to their driver page.
  3. After updating drivers, search for "Windows Update" in the Start menu and install any available updates.
  4. Once updates are installed, restart your computer.

What is Teardown being installed on? Do you have any other drives you can use?

  1. How much space do you have left on your drive?
  2. How old is your computer? No exact date is needed.
  3. Have any other weird issues started to occur outside of Teardown, e.g. Windows crash or other random errors?
  4. Try running Steam as Administrator by right-clicking the Steam shortcut.

Is running steam as admin actually a good thing?.. i thought it would just mess up your file rights in the long run 🤷‍♂️

#

try clearing download cache and verify game files..

#

steam > settings > download > clear cache

Verify Steam Files
  1. Open the Steam client.
  2. Navigate to your Library.
  3. Right-click on Teardown and select "Properties".
  4. Click on the "Local Files" tab.
  5. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Files".

  • check disk space
  • update drivers
  • clear cache
  • verify files
    right?

#

hm.. maybe delete the game and workshop files and try again?.. can't provide the paths as i'm on mobile

lofty thunder
#

just delete would be enough.. steam should redowload it..

#

you could also backup and remove the local files and the teardown folder in documents.. if you want to start all clean

#

in documents and app local is your own stuff, settings and savegames

#

and there should be a teardown folder in "my documents"

#

those 2 folders should be backed up before you delete them

then you can delete the whole folder and let teardown recreate it
