Purchased Teardown yesterday on the Xbox Series X platform. Went to play it this morning for the first time. I’m encountering an error where Teardown doesn’t detect a wireless controller is connected, and continuously gives the user the “Controller Disconnected” message. Verified the issue isn’t on my end, because every game and app works outside of Teardown. Restarting the console and the controller doesn’t resolve the issue. I am unable to play the game to any degree due to this issue. Anybody else encountering this?
#Bug: Xbox Series X unable to detect wireless controller

try plugging the controller into the console
I have the same issue and might have just figured it out. I had a USB hub plugged into one of the ports in the back without anything plugged into the hub. Whenever I would try to use a wireless controller I would get the “no controller detected” error. I unplugged the hub and it still wouldn’t work until I restarted after unplugging. Now I’m not getting the error.
I’ll give that a try when I get back. I do charge my wireless headset from a USB port on the front of the console that doesn’t have anything attached while I’m playing. Thanks for the tip and I’ll let you know if that resolved the issue
Unplugging my headset charging cable from my front USB port followed by forcing my wireless controller to turn off then back on again was a successful work around for the issue
Try restarting your game if it happens again/console
