@vale stirrup @lofty lodge
Setting: Modern day 2020s, and expect roughly the same level of technology we have in our current day and age. Magic schools, domains and circles are seen as fields of study. Magic isn't so common that the general populace is going around casting spells of 1st level or higher.
The world is very corporate-dominated, technology often surpasses magic, smartphones are more powerful than many spells.
You are a freelancer, doing the dirty work for the highest bidder at the very edge of the law.
Technomagic: I encourage you to try Hacking Tools proficiency, and some of the new spells, or maybe even subclasses found in the pdfs if you fancy them, expect to deal with a fair mix of magic and tech-related checks. When thinking about weapons and armor, consider how easily they can be concealed, walking around with a hunting rifle may not be taken lightly!
Stats: Point-buy.
Magical Items: 1 Common, 1 Uncommon, 1 Rare
Level 15, assume you're wealthy enough that mundane items can be procured without much fuss.
When thinking about your character, consider if you have sidegigs, hobbies, a business or family. Do you prefer to stay in your share of the safe house or do you have your own separate home with a family or friends?
Are you wealthy? Or have you squandered your earnings? You're high-profile and get paid a lot for the jobs you take, but money can always be spent
