Well, what is it?
So, to give a very short summary:
A cross of Mad Max and Fallout, a post apocalyptic fantasy world where vehicles and arcane trinkets are the focus of the story
So I've been working on quite a few homebrew stuff.
Vehicle stats and mechanics, travel distances, fire arms, common magical items used as both fuel and currency (and as a drug), etc

What... too weird?
I would reccomend not doing it in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. If you want rules light, consider Savage Worlds or a Powered by the Apocalypse game. If you want heavy rules, consider Shadowrun.
Little to no homebrew required for any of these, save for the setting.

Really enjoy it and have played it a lot.
Savage Worlds will indeed do this out of the box; Apocalypse World will come very very close.
I like my rules to have the texture of a bowl of raisin bran with isopropyl alcohol instead of milk.
