...We're not a government agency

#

We wouldn't have the power to enforce any legal action if it came down to it.

#

We're D&D players, not White hackers

Of course, but don't you think scaring children into not editing their age to access some info.. I don't know where I'm going with this, if a person that is under the age of 18 joined a VC, people would notice, ( if no voice changing software where used ) thought of that at 3PM and I regret it 💀

The primary reason we ask people to verify is to try and protect the server vis a vis the concept of due diligence. If someone underaged decides to lie and use a fake ID or similar, and we discover that, they'll get instantly banned. Beyond that, we have no legal ability (or desire, really) to further punish children. There would be no point and, additionally, threatening children with legal action over D&D would be likely cruel in most instances.

Kids will be kids. We'll do what is reasonable--our due diligence--but nothing further to try and protect the server. Nothing more is really required.

Thanks for the suggestions all the same, though. :)

Your rants show you understand how unrealistic this is, so I don't see why you bothered throwing them anyway.

#

If you're going to go on about it, you could have at least suggested a feasible course of action.

#

Assuming one even exists.

#

What do you suppose we can do about it? Report their IP? Call Law Enforcement? Bring them to court?

#

And for what? "This kid really wanted to play D&D so they faked their ID and now we gotta lay down the law?"

#

There's law and order, and then there's an implementation of that law that's so overbearing and over-encompassing that it can only be described as dystopic

We're not gonna Big Brother every single person who joins this server
