SV08 Not saving Z-Offset, even after a save config | Mainsail | Page 1

Hi all, I own 2 Sovol SV08 printers. every single print that I do, I have to live adjust the z-offset every single print. I made sure that all the hardware is tightened and snug, bed is leveled, i heat soak, etc. I run mostly default printer.cfg values and have modified the macros.cfg to my liking.

I press "save" on the live z adjustment and a popup confirms that it saved, then i press SAVE CONFIG at the end of the print, or sometimes ill abort it then SAVE CONFIG. then just like magic, the z offset is different next print. Im not talking about probe issues, the z offset is varying between too squished to lines in the air.

I make sure to probe the points for a bed mesh and also do a GQL. I confirm that the qgl and bed mesh are working and they are.

I noticed that after some testing, the z offset value in the printer.cfg under the do not adjust section always changes, even after i dont make a save to the z offset manually, And this is where i believe my problem is

Please, someone help me out with this

This is directly after a reboot and a qgl and home. It shows the z height is 10.093 when I actually want it to be 10.000

this is just impossible....

pls also change the tag to Klipper, because Mainsail is JUST A GUI and have nothing todo with your config...

the difference beteween the number in [] and in the filed, is your bed mesh

I still wouldn't understand why it has such a range of z height though
