#Laggy Webcam (dual setup, only one laggy)

I have 2 cameras set up now on my voron 2.4. One mounted up top (original one I've had for a while, works fine) and the new one mounted to the gantry (very laggy). I can't figure out why it is lagging so bad compared to the other one. If it was bandwidth bottlenecking I would assume it would affect both but I'm not sure.

I have a manta m8p with CB1 so it only has 2 usb ports. I also have a screen on the front that uses a usb port so I have a cable splitter that has the good cam and the screen on it while the new cam is directly to the other board usb port. The top cam gets around 8-10 fps and the new gantry cam gets 0-2fps (both set to max of 15).

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled crowsnest which updated it at least but the problem still persists. I also have all the log files that should give the info required for those who know what to look for. Let me know if you need anything else, thanks.

Try to add cutom_flags: -m YUYV to the laggy cam

#

But I have to say, that the usb bandwidth makes quite a lot problems on the CB1 with Manta boards, so it's possible that it won't work, as YUYV needs more bandwidth

#

If you would increase the resolution it might already break down both streams

yuyv iirc needs more bandwidth than mjpeg

#

like the usb2.0 speeds cant carry the data for a cam

So if USB bandwidth is not enough, you actually have a separate error

Even though the laggy cam was fixed, I still kinda want to upgrade my processor because I keep hearing the CB1 is kinda lack luster. What would be the best replacement for it, would it just be the CB2 or is there a better thing that fits onto the manta m8p board?

CB2 or the CM4, but USB bandwidth is an overall problem iirc
