#K1 AI Cam install RPI4B

So what is your question now? Why it doesn't work? What the error mean?
The errors are pretty easy to google
But it just looks like it will not work, as it will most likely need some special driver
Just don't use any creality cam with Crowsnest. They only make trouble as they are clearly not intended to be used outside the creality eco system
Ahoi @stiff fulcrum!

i searched a lot before i was here.. the question is how to fix. i want to install this mod https://www.printables.com/model/811203-creality-k1-camera-for-voron-24-mount
I don't know how that cam exactly works, but I guess it has some own interface?
I dont know.
If you want to use it with Crowsnest, it wouldn't have any AI features, so just stay within the creality eco system with this stuff
What?
Thats ok for me.
You bought it and have no idea how it works?
Or you are planning to buy it, because someone called the quality "good"?
I already bought it. it should work because he have it installed.
https://www.printables.com/model/811203-creality-k1-camera-for-voron-24-mount
He installed it on a voron?
And?
If it got some webinterface that doesn't matter
But it seems like you can control it with v4l2-ctl
Yeah i know, but first i need to have some video.
But I still don't get why you want to use it with Crowsnest, as you are missing completely out on the aspect of the AI features
Because its a cheap camara with good cam quality.
and easy to mount
the AI features doesnt matter
There are others with not so shitty companies behind it, that got the same quality...
I dont want to discuss about whats a good camara. i want to fix this one. i had before this one a RPI cam. but that one are dead.
I don't know what the exact problem might be. Could be wrong cable, maybe not enough power (powered usb hub will help), but as you might already have guessed, I don't want to debug creality cams anymore. They only make trouble everytime someone comes up with one
I only see that he linked some cable, so I assume that cam comes without it
Yep, i tried 2 cables.
So I would think that the most likely problem will be some cable problem
I tried the cable from the ADXL also. and on the ADXL it works fine.
Only other option I can recommend is a powered usb hub
It doesn't matter, if the single pins are swapped maybe. So the cable doesn't have to work for everything containing 5 pins
i understand, but there is no wiring diagram 🥱
That's one of the reasons why I don't want to debug this
It's just a shitty company
Your best bet will be that cable the person linked
Try to find info about the modules listed there
Then you can find out about the wiring of the cam, as it should work with that cam
I told you what I know and I told you that I won't be willing to do anything further. Google the errors that you got on dmesg, maybe they will help you. Otherwise I recommend to go to some Discord specifically for Creality stuff as they might know more about this thing
@vital island do you have a good alternative? I see other people with this issue. They have a nee version and this gives issues. The old one works fine.
Please don't ping me
So newer versions of the creality ai cam make problems?
Overall I don't have recommendations. Logitech cams are getting used quite a lot, but I never used one myself.
Personally I use a picam v3 and I really like the image quality.
Yeah it looks like.
