#How do I disable g-code viewer
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
just dont click on it, or disable the navi point in the settings
it seems to be using cpu and gpu resources even when the tab isnt open.
you just opened the massived and cpu needed part from mainsail. what else did you expect?
a 3d app in the browser simply requires more performance. this is completely normal! when you click on this point, this app is loaded and started. after starting, it should require a little less performance again.
but to be honest. all your “power consumption” questions are very “questionable”. mainsail is a browser app and is only executed in your browser. of course, every point that requires more computing power also requires more power.
looks like the main draw wasnt the viewer, rather the applied theme. disabling the theme reduced cpu utilization and temps back to what was expected
this is what the utilization looked like with a theme enabled
did you use the cyberpunk theme?
no
it was the black with bubbles floating around. dont remember the name
the cyberpunk seemed to run better than whatever i was using, but i prefer no theme
the other themes are only diffrent images and a small css file. so the theme could not be the problem
i mean, i can consistently turn the theme back on and watch my utilization, temps and fans kick up
also seems to cause the browser to chug quite a bit
firefox had issues with the gcodeviewer, when it was loaded 1 time. if you refresh the page, it should be fixed. the fix is not published until now
but i dont know any hardware from you and what you installed/enabled. so its just impossible for me to help here.
@shy spire why did you delete the first post? this post is now just useless, because you deleted it
