#MCU Protocol Error
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I deleted my original message to make it shorter. Sorry. Two questions on this MCU Protocol Error. This happens when I try to use my accelerometer on my Ender 3 Pro (Creality 4.2.7 board).
My error message lists two things that need to be updated. Does "mcu" refer to my Creality 4.2.7 board? If so, and when I reflash firmware, will that take care of needing to update the "USB-ADXL345"?
The reason I'm questioning this is because I saw a couple people with a similar error message, but their messages listed "rpi" that needed to be updated. I don't remember doing anything with my RPi, but it was a while ago. If it's just reflashing firmware to my 4.2.7 board, I should be able to do that.
What does the error tells you?
Right, mcu and ADXL. It's most likely only the ADXL. You can check that by commenting out the ADXL part again in your printer.cfg. If everything works again. It's the adxl
This can also be read in the announcements: #announcements message
Yes, when I comment out the ADXL, everything works again. Sorry, I'm an idiot when it comes to things like this. I read through the link from announcements and it sounds like I just need to reflash the firmware to the 4.2.7 board. Thank you for showing me the announcement and thank you for your time.
Oh wait. I think I need to flash new firmware to the ADXL. I didn't think of this because I purchased it pre-flashed from Trianglelab. I'll do both tomorrow. 🙂
ADXL should be enough
The link is just overall telling what the problem is
Can you maybe tell me what exactly made you think that? You are the second person thinking this, so I would appreciate some feedback, what we might should improve on that docs
Just lack of experience with things like this. I bought the adxl pre-flashed, so I got to skip that whole part of the process the first time. If I had flashed the adxl the first time, I probably would have remembered it was necessary.
