Hi,

I have a little problem, where my printer is printing in air. (around 10mm so)

I have a vyper that is connected to a raspberry pi 4. On the pi I have installed Mainsail and the OS legacy. I also use the slicer cura and do not have a BL Touch.

I have tried everything and I have no glue whats wrong. Pls. Every little suggestion can help. Thx

Fix your tags #readme
Mainsail and MainsailOS don't have anything to do with your problem

#

Also send a klippy.log and a sliced gcode. Atm we only know that you print in the air. So I would say your gcode is wrong. Without anything we cannot help further

I hope it helps, thx in advance

Can you send a screenshot of the Heightmap page inside Mainsail?

#

And fix your tags #readme

The left side is a bit heigher bescause I had a paper on the bed.

Home your printer and let it move to 0. Then send a picture of your printer

#

Quick question, why do you wrote that?

do not have a BL Touch.
Why didn't you tell us what other probe you are using? (at least there is a probe section inside your printer.cfg)

redid the bed mesh

#

I also reinstalled klipper 3 times, but i only flashed the printer 1 time. Can this do something

#

The build + flash i mean. I did it only on the first installation. Do i have to redo it too? I think not

signal haven
#

No, you don't have to reflash your printer board

Ok, then try to run via the console inside Mainsail:

G21
G90
G1 Z15.0 F100
G0 F3000 Z0.235
```And see where you end up.
#
After you homed ofc
touching the bed
Then no idea, sry. Those are the commands the gcode should execute. You could try to run each command of the gcode one-by-one, without heating and extruding, and see if you can spot the error maybe. I cannot find anything
thanks anyway
Do i have to do a bed mesh every time? I though it just there to see how straight it is.
signal haven
# midnight vigil redid the bed mesh
No the bed mesh is there to adjust the z value of your extruder to compensate for a non straight bed. If you have one loaded you don't have to create a new one.
You can see if one is loaded if it shows you a mesh on that screen
#
If no mesh is loaded, then no mesh is used ofc
midnight vigil
#
And is it normel that after every restart, i have to do a mesh?
signal haven
#
If you don't save it, yes
#
You have to hit/run SAVE_CONFIG to save it
#
After that you have to load it that it get's applied
