hey everyone, I'm having some trouble setting up crowsnest on my fluidd install. I followed the install guide and got everything set up (or so I think) and am getting no signal back but if I restart the firmware the camera feed shows up for a few seconds and then goes back to having no signal. any help on this would be amazing thank you all!
#Cam feed only shows up during firmware restarts

Fix your device:
device: device: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._REDRAGON_Live_Camera_Audio_SN0001-video-index0 is wrong
device: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._REDRAGON_Live_Camera_Audio_SN0001-video-index0 would be correct
ope thanks for spotting that, just fixed that issue and its still doing the same thing no change
just fixed it, i had to # out [cam 1] in the crowsnest config and that got it working propery
That doesn't sound right, but if it's working ๐คทโโ๏ธ
exactly what I was thinking lol
Could you send your log and conf again. I'm really curious now
Could it be that you got the fluidd webcam service configured?
The log show actually that no streamer gets started
Also you should remove the newline after your device. This leads to some weird parsing error inside the log
So instead of:
device: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._REDRAGON_Live_Camera_Audio_SN0001-video-index0
# See Log for available ...
Use:
device: /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-Sonix_Technology_Co.__Ltd._REDRAGON_Live_Camera_Audio_SN0001-video-index0 # See Log for available ...
it could be but when I was having no luck getting fluidds webcam service to work so thats why I went to install crowsnest and thats how I got here, but if I stop crowsnest all together the webcam doesnt function at all so I honestly do not know
thank you ill go and update that
Ok, then let me have a look at the debug log. So set log_level: debug and delete_log: true. Maybe it's starting ustreamer anyway because of some fallback
Will do, I am running a print currently so I will get those new logs to you once it is finished
here are those logs for you
Ok thank you ๐
Can you also send the output of systemctl status crowsnest? As crowsnest didn't start anything according to that log but also didn't shut down, if I see that correct
Ok, tested it myself, got some "old" installation on a test pi.
So crowsnest is running but without anything
