There are no best settings. There might be recommended settings or best practices, but all of those depend on the setup.
For resolution it's recommended to use 2304x1296 to get the full fov of the cam.
Some people use autofocus some don't. To disable autofocus use afmode=0, lensposition=4.5 for your v4l2ctl inside crowsnest.conf
For the lensposition look at the table in the picture and select the point where you want the camera to focus
i men fps cuz i have it set up for 720 but gets just 40-50 fps
going to look att that too ๐
If you want 720 use 2304x1296 as your resolution and add --camera-video.height=720 for your custom_flags
That way you get the full fov and a downscaled video for webrtc
About using webrtc: https://crowsnest.mainsail.xyz/configuration/cam-section#a-small-note-on-webrtc
"just" 40-50fps
Meanwhile cam only supporting 30fps
I don't know why raspberry pi foundation advertises them higher, maybe something about shutterspeed or something like that, but the raspberry pi software only supports 30fps
At least according to libcamera output
And tbh with you, imho 30fps are already enough to monitor your printer.
yee but its more fun whith hige fps ๐
Like I said, I don't know if the fps really goes higher than 30. You are most likely using adaptive mjpg right now, and that just gives you the fps your bandwidth can handle. If there is no new frame, it just takes the old one
So if your pi could handle a higher bandwidth, you could achieve maybe like 100fps, but if your cam don't provide them, it's effectively just 30fps
aa i understand ๐
