*Sorry if this is trivial but I do not know what keywords to search for. *

I just installed MainsailOS on the Raspberry Pi in my workshop that has a full size monitor and keyboard.
Now I want to configure the 3D-printer that it is connected to it but I have no idea how to open a web browser in MainsailOS and access the Mainsail interface. Is there a desktop at all?
I can access Mainsail via IP from my Windows PC two floors up, but I do not want to do any testing without being near the printer.
Thanks for any hint.

Tbh, I never did that before, but installing the Raspberry Desktop might do the Job, MainsailOS is planned as a 'headless' running distribution. But I can test it later on how to get an desktop

Besides that, head to Raspberrys documentation. Maybe there are hints on how to do that. MainsailOS is based on Raspberry Pi OS Lite.

In terms of 'steering' the printer any Tablet or Smartphone works as well

Thanks, I will try that. I could use a tablet but now that I have a nice monitor...

(I am running OctoPi on another Pi with a 7" touchscreen which is quite helpful.)

Short feedback: It works.

This is now my preferred method to set up a new Klipper and a new printer. Using an old monitor and a keyboard on my workbench. Tested on a Pi 4 and two thin clients. Also nice: I can google if something is not working.

However I am running out of USB ports (keyboard, mouse, printer, printer CAN-boards, printer ADXL sensor board for cartesian bed, webcam) so this will be temporary. I will switch to headless or Klipperscreen once everything runs smooth.

Thanks for your help.
