you can't like 'catch up on sleep' properly like that so you'll end up sleeping for a longer time, like you'll fall asleep lets say before midnight but then cause you pulled an all nighter before (along with however fucked up the schedule was before) you'll end up sleeping for a super long time likely past a 'normal' time to wake up, and then when you wake up later in the day you'll end up staying awake longer into the night again and it just keeps cycling
