you walk into a Tavern in Piata-Oras, looking to get a drink

you open the doors to find every patron that night turn to you

its none other then

THE SOLURON INQUISITION!

nobody expects Soluron Inquisition!

DECKLIST
2x Merc Mule
2x Orallus Healer
2x Penitent Follower
2x Sunburnt Monk
3x Weapon Carrier
3x Missionary Vanguard
3x Monstrous Spore
3x Sunfire Evoker
2x Bombardier
1x Garenan, Trading Prince
3x Righteous Bannerman
3x Wandering Executioner
2x Warcamp Follower
3x Blessed Guardsman
2x Boneface Berserker
1x Gurm, Former Taskmaster
2x Orallus Mirrorknight
1x Councilman Lazar

This deck runs pretty straight forward, use a combination of Warcamp, buffed Evokers, and attacks to burn through health and win.

Some tips I've found:

  • ALWAYS Spend coins, there's not enough PG creatures needing it and you will have a surplus
  • I've found Weapon Carrier buffing attack primarily to be the better option, as it lets you buff Evokers, and sometimes dodge Magi
  • this deck contains a pretty high amount of card draw, so make sure you're watching your deck count
  • Evokers can be buffed up to 4 times if kept in hand, totaling a whopping 6 direct damage as long as you keep 4 Crusaders on board
  • make sure you have a card to cast at minimum turn 2, any later and you might not be able to get going
  • This deck runs both Offensively and Defensively, make sure to adjust your strategy to match your opponent

interesting list, i think i played against you while you were running this.

i have some questions though: no sunlight elemental on the top end? i think it would be quite good in this. i think you could cut 2 orallus healers for +1 sunlight elemental and +1 penitent follower (that card is just way better by all measures)

I like the idea of crusader decks and they can be quite strong with the right draws.

in theory it boosts Envokers damage, and lets mirrorknight copy +1 stronger, but I never had it actually pan out that way

#

if you really want to swap out Healer, I'd suggest another Merc Mule and Penitent, but I'm mainly running it to increase the amount of hittable Crusaders

if I'm really honest? its not for the 1 heal at all, its for the Crusader creature type

the easiest way to put it is its based on how I build and adjust, so Penitent was most likely not what healer replaced, and Healer was replacing a different set of cards

#

as of right now its playing extremely well

I should also mention that 1 health might not seem like much, but especially looking at Overseer Tutoring, keeping as much health as possible is important so you can choose how to block more freely

# hearty cliff I should also mention that 1 health might not seem like much, but especially loo...

against overseer tutoring, the blocking body is way more relevant than the 1 health (overseer underlings are generally 8-11 attack) and in that exact scenario, penitent would backlash one of the overseer creatures which would make you take less damage from everything that does get through?

sorry for being argumentative but i genuinely don't understand the logic behind that. both are crusaders and one is clearly a better option. that's just my two cents though 🙂 thanks for sharing the list

like I said, Healer likely wasn't what replaced the 1 Follower, more then likely Healer actually replaced Sun Elemental when I was readjusting the deck.

actually iirc it was Bombadier that replaced one of the followers
