Refering

I know I saw someone create a bug report earlier, but I have had four people attempt to refer me and every single one said "you have already been referred" all I want is some free stuff 😭🙏

This bug seems to be common because it happened to me and my 2 friends as well i figured it was a meta issue

I thought that to but a friend playing on phone also had the same problem

@elder sand @fossil rampart do you know what devices your friends were on when the issue happened? were they all new accounts or alt accounts? just trying to narrow down the issue.

They were on Meta at the time and they were new to the game

3 friends on meta, one of them on quest 2 and the other two on quest 3. And one friend on mobile.

have you had any referrals go through successfully? In your watch menu under social/ referrals are both numbers 0 or is one of them a 1?

i need to try to pinpoint the cause of the issue in order to get it fixed, sorry for all the quetions.

@rough zenith Same happened for me, my uncle on Quest 3 didn't get my referral when I typed his name in on account creation. It said "you have already been referred", my cousin also joined on his phone when I was showing him the game using my quest 3 and he when he put my username in it also said the same thing. These are all separate devices (1 android phone and 2 meta quest 3), however, we were all on the same wifi network if that's of any issue?

we are working on a fix for this. thank you for letting me know. hopefully next patch all will be better.

Will there be any chances to get our referrals after the fix? Just don't know anyone else that would enjoy the game so me and my uncle will both be missing out on our referrals now.

I am not 100% sure, I think they will still be able to refer you, but will have to make a new account (alt account) and would need to get that account to level 20 for you to get the reward.

I thought I saw somewhere someone mentioning that to prevent referral spamming of your own stuff you'd not be able to refer with a bunch of alts because of IPs? Or something like that.

since the referral never went through, i think you will still be able to make 1. just from a fresh account. i could be wrong, will have to see, after the patch on march 27th if it does not work let me know.
