Its working fine I believe since its not adding any attributes or effects just stat changes but im not entirely sure

Technically speaking it's not "bypassing" Suppressed as it's not giving the creature an ability.
The tooltip you see beneath the creature is there as a reminder that there's a temporary stat adjustment affecting them.
It's not giving them the ability of "Soul Essence" which gives them +1/+1 (as this then SHOULD be suppressed)
It's giving them +1/+1 until end of turn directly.

yet there are other cards that also give +x/+x until end of turn that get denied when placed on a suppressed creature

Could you give an example?

This will give the creature +2/+2 until EoT. But will not give them amped.
