If a creature has loophole, and defensive acumen is active, even if it's health is larger than another creature's attack, which by defensive acumen is equal to attack, loophole still only effects the actual damage stat of the creature, so if I had a merchant'sguard with 1 attack, 50 HP and loophole, and defensive acumen is active, and I attacked with said merchan't guard, if your creatures have a higher attack than 1, loophole will remain effective, so it will be unlockable, but due to defensive acumen, I would then deal 50 direct damage.

why

because thats the whole point of loophole decks

Get it to high hp, get defensive down with loophole and swing.

#

It's very hard to get a card high enough to insta kill with loophole on it, so it's not a huge problem

Yeah this is loophole working an indented. DA doesn't replace your attack, it just shifts where the damage comes from

nor is it consisent to get large amounts of damage with loophole creatures in the current meta of removal and aggro

at low skill levels meta is irrelevant

#

it just seems kinda cheesy

#

I'm pretty sure I had someone report me for using that

as you get better, you need to adapt to combos. If you or another player gets reported for winning, they can be banned for false reporting

A good way to deal with defense acumen decks is to look for weak points in their line up. Get 1 or more creatures health equal or below their attack. Once your opponent has less than 3 creatures with this status, the defense acumen will disappear
