#SiriusXM Radio Browser not working
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
and here's what the radio browser is showing. Please let me know if you need anything else, wasn't quite sure what else to post as the logs contain nothing about SiriusXM failing besides the error above.
Having the same issue, it seems to work on the first pageload on a fresh install, but then it never works again. I tried both beta and nightly.
When did this start?
I've only been using MASS since 2.7.0b14, so I've always had this issue. I can try to roll back a few versions and see where the issue goes away.
Better would be to try the stable server and see what happens there.
2.6.3 works just fine for me
Thanks. Then if you can narrow it down to a beta release that would be very helpful
I will try that. I do see this after switching log level to debug, if it's helpful: 2025-11-19 09:14:00.274 ERROR (MainThread) [music_assistant.webserver] Error handling message: CommandMessage(message_id='69e54b29-e2ea-4527-9f11-f2cd748450ae', command='music/browse', args={'path': 'siriusxm://'}) Traceback (most recent call last): File "/app/venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/music_assistant/controllers/webserver.py", line 479, in _run_handler result = await result ^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/app/venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/music_assistant/controllers/music.py", line 456, in browse prov_items = await prov.browse(path=path) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/app/venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/music_assistant/controllers/cache.py", line 412, in wrapper return cast("R", parse_value(func.__name__, cachedata, type_hints["return"])) ~~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/app/venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/music_assistant/helpers/api.py", line 195, in parse_value if not isinstance(value, value_type): ~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TypeError: isinstance() argument 2 cannot be a parameterized generic
@river dagger It seems like the problem goes all the way back to 2.7.0b0
Thanks Im looking into it. Will let you know what we find
Awesome, thanks!
OK I have submitted a fix but lets see what the guys who know way more about this than me say about it! This also affects the Radio Browser provider.
Did your fix make it in @river dagger ?
This is a long time ago so yes!
Sorry about that, experiencing an issue with SXM so wanted to make sure I wasn't chasing an old bug 😄
I am still seeing issues with this....may or may no tbe the same problem but I opened a discussion:
all my radio stations vanished and cannot be added back ans says they get added but then can't be seen/removed....
@river dagger It seems the person listed as the maintainer by no longer be?
