#Help on some Airplay Devices

I have read in the docs that there might be some drawbacks for certain devices if I want to use airplay. I'd love to have the option to have synced playback, thats why I wanted to go with airplay (if MA can sync any other player type, I'd be happy to switch - I had the impression that only Airplay would support Temporary Sync Groups).

I got my Denon AVR to work like charm. But my Sonos already made problems, and I couldn't get my Kodi-device to work either. Can anybody confirm that Sonos Roam 2 indeed doesn't work (broken RAOP support)? And did anybody get Kodi Airplay working? I have encryption enabled, but nothing starts playing.

With those 3 devices, how would one approach synced playback?

Ok, so for the Sonos, when using airplay, the log has some debug lvl entries reading "bind_host:721 cannot bind: Address not available", followed by "WARNING (MainThread) [music_assistant] Exception in task Task-267 - target: <coroutine object RaopStream._ffmpeg_reader at 0x7f939f3880>: " but no error, just an uncaught timeout exception

Hi @compact jolt I have commenced work on getting support for AirPlay 2 in MA. Perhaps this will assist in overcoming the issues you have experienced. I am not sure how long it will take me, but I am working on it most days at the moment. Stay tuned and once I have a working solution, perhaps you could test it on your configuration if you feel up to that?
