i think you may have a 301 cached on your device as it works for me :)
or some caching going on for you (ie dns) - so try to flush all of that and try again!
if you go to dev tools -> network -> disable cache -> try to access root again, does it show redirect?
-# the disable cache should make it forget the 301 if thats the issue
just wondering which status code is it tho? and is there any useful headers (ie does it say vercel and anything more)
i just cant see why yours is being weird but mine is fine
ah ok maybe enable "preseve logs" to show it
what about a whole diferent browser (that you havent accessed this before with)
i mean for "lander" it makes sense for 200, but the redirect to there is weird part
UHHH what is this doing
chrome does this
did you like only just get this domain
ok sorry that i know nothing of this issue as its so weird, but i think i have to sleep now - so i hope you can work this out 🙏
You need to look up forwarding
If you didnt already do so
Go daddy forwarding
i can only think some wacky cache is going on - like maybe dns for chrome and idk for brave
tho can you send ss of headers for root
oh okay forward to my domain ? or vercel app ?
-# (i just want to see if it has anything vercel lol)
Yes go daddy has an option to forward your domain
The domain in this case is whatever your vercel app domain is
Its basically a “redirect”
is this like worse cloudflare proxy?
i never used cloudfare
But if you just search up “go daddy forward domain”
You will find a guide on it provided by go daddy.
Thank you im pretty sure this is the issue let me try and ill get back to you @coral yoke
ohhh this also has /lander
i understand this now
either its remembering that - or brave is blocking all the "ads" on the page
either way you should clear/flush your dns or wait some time
the go daddy forwarding may work because it could use same ip - but im not sure if its worth adding latency to every request
ill clear dns now
i still dont like how it redirects to landing with 200...feels so bad
I KNOW
i always have hated go daddy, and this proves it even more
their over pricing, scam tactics, things like this, up selling basic features... this is why i use cloudflare domains (used to like google domains but they squarespace now) or spaceship as its namecheep but actually cheaper
dont bother changing now, just note that there are only a few reasons when i would want go daddy - ie some gtlds (like .com.au) that isnt very common
btw did the dns flush work?
nope
(also i personally use DoH on browser so the disable cache also removes that too)
oooh okay
👀
so whats the news
Could it not be a setting in vercel ?
well it works on my laptop and lots of other web besting things
so its just you locally it seems like
my GF gets the godaddy thing
working now
i donno what it was maybe just needed time to go through DNS
YAY congrats!
