DDoS mitigation and security measures in Vercel

Vercel's Pro plan only offers basic DDoS mitigation. I'm making a website alone, so Enterprise plan is not on my budget. If I want more security, I need to use something like CloudFlare or are there security solutions I can configure/develop using Vercel alone?

Use cloudflare for basic mitigation, which is free

And enable rate limiting

Or use cloudflare upgraded plan for 20$

Yup, do that. And make sure cloudflare proxy is on
