You have much better navigating features in Next.js
it is like the most known framework when dealing with react (so prob highest employability aside from raw react)
He probably knows, that's why he asked why most known framework
hahah i might make you two fight lol
im not fighting...
gaslighting yow
a con is that it is funded by VC, so who knows if they turn the product into something bad
Vercel?
another con is that it is heavily opiniated compared to react or just javascript... you have to either use their router (and with app dir, more opinionated)
As far as I know, vercel is one of the best tech companies out there, will be surprised if they are not in top 5
*dev tech... idk about just tech (like compeating with apple, samsung, microsoft...)
Honestly, make one small project in all the frameworks you have on your mind, the one which works for you... Go with that
It's the framework you are gonna spend your life on, you better make the choice yourself.. instead of letting someone do the thinking for you then later getting mad over it
Well there are 2 opinionated things, good & bad, next.js falls into good IMVHUO
IMVHUO?
in my very honest ... opinion
In my very honest unbiased opinion
just getting opinions
learn raw html and js and see how much better nextjs is π
And try making a big website with just react.. like big website with dashboards, forms, authentication, and other things that you don't want on the client
this is very help full ngl . i did try vue and other frameworks .
Well, my opinion: Next.js Is the 2nd goat in full-stack frameworks after PHP
So then what felt better? Which works like you want it to?
Like for me, I chose react over vue or angular was because it just felt correct.. like if you have a variable which updates, then just make a state variable.. want to change it? Make a useEffect.. it just works like I thought it shld
well i like how you can mix nextjs with pages/api and the app router , vue js has more of client side focus but with its handling of data and storing of state it is just complicated thing to do . and i see that nextjs is like php depends on how you understand my statement but it is easy to understand and easy to shoot your self in the foot. lmao.
Same for nextjs, it just works.. have an image? Wow next has smthn for that.. have a link.. damn even that is covered by next.. have seo..... Well next has that as well
and it is very easy to host with vercel... you don't need to know much backend... just need github π
Even that is minimal, just push and then your done..
to be fair vite and others are simple... but not as garenteed as vercel is for new features such as caching
The best thing imo, the community.m everyone is so helpful
Check out #give-props it's a sign of how awesome everyone is.. so whatever you have questions with.. someone is always there to help you out
you do know that this was kinda a joke question... but yeah i agree
how else would i have gotten this nice role... if it wasn't for all those helps
i mean now we have collective answer for new people that is asking Why nextjs?
so mark as solved then
Come on @upper apex , what are you waiting for π«

indeed
Nooooooooooooooo, you betrayed me, I no talk with you
actually asked chat gpt but i reread the answers and yea the best answer . Without a helpfull community i wont use it . If i have a problem who would help me ?
tbf same
This I defo disagree, IK the community is very helpful, but not using the framework just because it doesn't have community is not good IMO
i am a react beginner learner. my opion is if you want to use some node package or connect database or REALLY need SEO. use next.js. if not, I will use vite+react π₯Ή
Noice Opinion
yeah but i started using it because i saw others talk about how cool it was... then i started helping others for simple things (google search) and realised how cool it is
i would say use a framework that has no community help and got stumbled with a problem . I mean you can google . But lets say no one did post about that same problem
Yeah, IK the community is verrrryyyyyyy helpful and good, but we still have github, stackoverflow, google, etc. But Discord Community is one of the major factor to choose, that I agree.
nextjs forums >>>>> stackoverflow (slightly biased)
Yayy
Anyways, I love the Next.js community, I am not arguing with you that Next.js coummunity is not goood
Highly Biased
have a discord channel means it is good
some tech don't have channel. Yes, it is typeorm
congrats for being helpful π
I regret not using discord previously for 2 yrs as learning Next.js, but doesn't mean I didn't solve my problems tho. Anyways end of the convo
Says the helper
That's what helpers say, he was once at your level too
lmao
i stared off like you just saying
Point
anyways stay helpfull
damn it is hard to choose an answer if it is discussion
i should make my point system
can anyone help me with my issue please?
Yes, just open a new help forum post
create a post in #1007476603422527558 (if new question that you haven't asked before) but don't crosspost
Hmm, he just said don't crosspost
Posting your post at another threads, posts, channels
If no one replied to your post means, no one knows how to help you, so you might need to wait for someone, who actually knows answer
Where should I ask that question? Seems like support needs decades to answer ..
I checked every documentation, every page, every issue. Seems like I am first one with this issue π
What was the issue, I forgot
asking here won't help
This is true
