Hey, I was wondering if Next.js creates a sitemap and robots.txt at build time and if not are those still necessary?

Hi no they dont't and yes they can be necessary for seo, they are packages like next-seo and next-sitemap for simple usage

Hey, thanks for the fast responsive. Using next-seo right now. Very interesting that Lighthouse never complained I don't have a robots.txt before 🤔

Robots.txt isn't considered required

Did that change recently? I thought I remembered that Lighthouse complains about not having one before
