Specs:

Nvidia 1080
I7-7th gen, overclocked
32 gb ram

So.. before the patch I installed the latest Nvidia driver. Ever since the game doesn't go past the epilepsy warning. Yesterday I tried with 3 other drivers. It seems to always crash. I'm installing via DDU. So I don't know what else to do to play the game.

I have the same issue since the update today. I have 30+ hours in the game without issue until the patch.

i've went as far as reinstalling the whole game, when that didnt work, i did a repair reinstall on windows. That still did not work. I just found this and finally got back into the game following these instructions.

I was getting stuck at the epilepsy warning at first and i tried something i seen elsewhere. that got me past the warning, but would crash on the shaders part. what i posted got past the shaders and back into the game.

What i did before that was go to c: drive > ProgramData > Hogwarts Legacy and delete everything out of that folder

I think the game is recommending the one before the last one ending with 49

I tried it. Didn't work. Ray tracing was already "false".
