I am working on a art of my own OC, similar to my OC there, but is sitting on the arm ledges of a stone bridge. Legs bent inwards as if about to hug herself into a ball, like how some people might when bored or relaxing, simply looking at a open view of a forest.

Usually my ideas only stay in my head, unless I put it into words. Putting descriptions into art is like a weird difficult challenge because of my short attention awareness to often want to work on a art projects.

with Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
I cut out the character from the portrait and separated various members like for example the hand holding the wand, the head, the eyes, the mouth and the sweater. I then animated each element individually and added it all together. The same for the background.

oh okay, I saw a lot of people do the same exact style of editing on their portraits so I thought it was a feature somewhere I was missing. Its teally nicely done though

Oooo and yeah that’s relatable. For me I’ve been wanting to get into improving my art style for my comics (like my official ones that I want to publish, not trashy/life/etc) but I’m also finding myself returning to basics.

But one tip if anything that I can give to you on animation is try to experiment there with simple figures to grasp the basics. It’s super easy to jump into. I suggest the FlipaClip app. It’s great. It also lets you play with frame rates.

I used to play around with 3-4 fps when I first began but sometimes I go to 12 now if I’m feeling extra spicy lol you’ll also learn that a lot of it is copy paste there. But also working in layers similar to artworks. (Think characters/movement, setting/environment loops, etc)

So the wand on the left was already shaped and just needed sanding, which is now done.
The middle wand has received more shaping but it's rock maple so it's taking a while.
The wand on the right is apple wood and is now pretty much shaped out. I am on putting a spiral groove in it later.

And speaking of apple wood, I now have all this cut from one of my trees to work with in the future.

My current on going projects are; A) an ash wand, I need to carve the rune for ash into, B) a test design for my own wand, which is why I tried dying leather today, C) the apple wood wand, which is just nice, might carve a small apple and a snake into it, D) the rock maple wand which I want to carve an eagle pommel/grip into, and E) the piece of beech which seems to exist simply to cause me pain.

The problem is that the flying control scheme requires two hands on the keyboard (on controller it would be a bit easier), but if you were a keeper and wanted to pay attention to the ball, but also fly around, it would be very difficult. The hover/strafe mode let's you move around with more control, but much slower, but also makes it much easier to look around

the fact that it looks weird atm is something that could be fixed with animations, so that when you strafe, the animation make it look like the player turns towards the direction you are going

and it would look less weird, but still feel great to play

in terms of the size of the pitch and the height of the rings, I based it all on the official measurements (kinda). So might have to adjust the speed of the broom more than adjusting the size of the pitch.

Might feel slower, but you can probably use some camera tricks to make it feel faster

I think they should make a quidditch game like star wars squadrons, where it's just quidditch so they can focus on ONLY the quidditch stuff. Not have to take into account the open world travel and stuff.

I used cedar wood, I can't remember what oil I used but it was basic staining stuff

Cos I finally got around to carving the rune and then burning it in.

I don't have a pyrography kit so I used a naff soldering iron to do the wood burning.

Btw square sided wands are a pain to make.

Being ill for the last two weeks has meant I've done basically no work on any of my wands this month

I'm sure you can enchant a gun to be more accurate, increase the power of the bullet, and also be silent.

So no it doesn't need a gun, but can probably make one much more deadly
