in the modern day that isn't a problem for any major company at all. Not to mention half the time people pre-order digital copies which make like no sense

the only benefit of preordering would be the preorder bonus which unless the publisher is a scumbag and trying to push preorders is usually just exclusive cosmetic skins

and also preloading, the benefit for that really just depends on how slow your internet is but for most people it wouldn't really make much of a difference

I mean you playing at midnight versus you playing a couple hours later doesn't really matter all that much imo

Plus I think pre-ordering in general is bad because it basically lets companies take the consumers money without having properly delivered on the product

I mean look at all those people that pre-ordered cyberpunk 2077, I think its a bad idea in general to preorder or buy right away day 1 before user reviews are out because all this past few years have shown us is how increasingly scummy game companies are

A bad game that you preordered could eventually be fixed but at this point it takes months for that to happen not to mention going through a refund process is a hassle as a consumer. I mean take steam for example, you can refund any game if you have less than 2 hours of playtime and it's less than 2 weeks from when you purchased it.

lets say the marketing for a game shows the opening few hours which look fantastic, you spend your money and preorder the game, you play right away and 3 hours pass and the game quickly deteriorates and becomes terrible. Purely a hypothetical but at that point you are out of steams no-questions asked refund window and gotta go through that whole process with no solid guarantee on getting your money back.

yea thats the issue people had. other than the visuals the actual game had so much stuff cut compared to what was shown. People expect that stuff is improved compared to marketing or at least the same, not completely unplayable with the features decimated

Well Squad, from what I can work out from the prior Posts, they're either discussing the date in which the game comes out... again. 😠

They are discussing some show with a last season which was inferior to the first few in some form or fashion most likely the whining of people who don't know how to enjoy things that aren't at least 9/10 or higher. Like say Sonic Origins which is just fine in my opinion. Honestly probably about an 8/10 total.
Pardon that, that was just my stress breaking loose a little bit... Happens sometimes...

Well, I won't disagree, I just won't... agree completely.
My opinion is they're likely to release the game in November due to having it the ability to be a game around long enough for people who didn't spend time like us waiting for it to come out and only got the game when they heard of it who likely won't know until say, 14th of December. This will make the game a spectacular Christmas gift that will either
A: Get released at the end of November
B: Be held back for maybe a month or two for some extra scrubbing similar to my Shower/Shave
or C: Won't have been worth the wait to begin with.
I think it's likely gonna be
A: 50%
B: 35%
C: 15%
