ANYWAYS back to the actual topic... I heard someone say that we could have been homeschooled and then our parents were murdered and thats why we can see thestrals and would be starting school late

Technically it is different in the way we start in Year 5
Honestly a better version of this would likely be
We were homeschooled yes and one of our parents left cause either they were kicked out cause they were doing bad things (say perhaps, drinking too much, smoking, drugs, dark arts) and our other parent WAS killed by the other parent eventually which led to us being able to see said Thestrals.
