I relate to that 100000%, I have ADHD and have always been told I could "reach the sky" because my dad kept telling me: "you're so much smarter than me" (which he meant in a nice way, but didn't have the wished effect). So now I'm crippled with anxiety and executive dysfunction! As well as a desire to work my butt of and reach for the sky cause I want to make my parents proud (even though they say I don't need to get high marks and just "be happy")

For me it helps if I have a "Study with me" video playing in the background, this way I can know when to have breaks too

Like, for each task, I have the timer running. I'm watching the time go by. Then when i finish, I press the lap button, so I get how long each individual task is taking me, and then the overall time I spent working, so that if three hours pass and I've been making good time on tasks, I know to take a break. It also prevents me from spending three hours on something comparatively unimportant.

Pretty much. I do a lot of checklists, they help, but only till sertain amount. Sometimes the bigger projects have to be cut to very small pieces and try to treat myself some way every time i have done something to get it forward. Having something started helps a lot to continue...

Yeup! I like to write out each step on a word doc. It makes it easy to edit and break down tasks into more steps if it's too much. Then I cover each step with a black highlighter so that I'm only looking at one step at a time and my brain doesn't get overwhelmed.

Yes you can, and there are many unis in Europe with illustration. So you could go exchange at least. I was in UK before brexit, kinda regret i didn't do only illustration, the graphic design was even more of typography and "you can get good grades only if you do what teacher says" kind of weird conservative mentality. Illustration lessons we much more fun. Yet cannot understand why those groups were so separated there, they didn't collaborate at all.
