i think the reasoning behind it is more so to define their side of the story. i study animation and other video game designs once in a while and the first things they'll teach you in those classes are how the characters are made to look like. villains tend to have sharper lines, harsher features while prtagonists tend to have rounder shapes. hope that makes sense and i dont mean to offen you if it did
