3rd year would have been best, still techincally a child but it gives us a hogwarts year or two to learn and figure out our characters before just yeeting us into story

Why nervous, it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Most likely just going to explain it like they already did, that we have some special powers 'n' stuff. Just a way for them to not have to make the character grow older as the game progresses or start out with no abilities.

No, the game is not in development of principles. The game had a window to come out in 2021 and they postponed it. They clearly want to improve it, polish it, that's all.
