tbf it would be a pretty good release date. it gives them plenty of time to finish the game properly and it ends the year with possibly one of the best if not THE best game of 2022

i personally cant wait for the care of magical creatures, herbology and potions lessons in it. mind you DADA and Charms are good too but they are more practical than the others

i wonder if divination, history of magic and others will be in it too

i remember it being said in one of the books that you can pick certain classes so like: ancient runes instead of divination, etc. Obviously ones like DADA and charms would be mandatory

i mean it could make so maybe there a runes that without taking the class you cant actually read and maybe the runes could help unlock hidden areas

which could possibly add to the whole replayability thing

so you have a book and every time you translate a rune in the lesson you write the translation down so lets say you translate a rune in class and it has B in it. You translated it and found out that one rune is the letter B. your character would write the letter in their book in a runes section and write the corresponding rune next to it

hence meaning whenever you find any ancient runes that you can only translate the runes that you've already translated in class and wrote in the book

and say if you want to make a potion or have a potion class or just want to sell potion ingredients possibly in hogsmeade than you can go out and find ingredients scattered around the grounds or steal ingredients from herbology and if you get caught then that would be maybe 50 points taken from your house

and even if they dont add most of these at launch they could possibly add them sometime afterwards

that would be untrue depending on if the character arrives in year 5 or not

I hope that they will add Diagon alley as an explorable area even if it only after your character has left hogwarts (depending on if you can do anything after hogwarts which it would be kind of stupid not to be able to)

So I was just thinking about this earlier today and thought I should get other people’s thoughts. As far as I know (correct me if I’m wrong) this game is based in the 1800s and we start the game as a 5th year. 5th year in Harry Potter is also OWL year. So classes are pretty important gameplay wise because depending on your scores on your OWLs depends on the NEWT level classes you can take your 6th and 7th year. Classes will be important those years too because your NEWT classes determine the career you can choose after school. So how important do you think class gameplay should be or what do you guys think should be involved?

In my opinion I don’t see this as being a high expectation which I know a lot of people have, this is just something that’s true to the story and lore of Harry Potter

I was also thinking about that too which lead me to thinking about blood types? Blood types are also something that’s super important in the Harry Potter universe. You can’t just be a muggle born and hop into slytherin, that’s not how that works.

There has been no new info on the game since the initial reveal apart from the delay. I'd take anything you read elsewhere with a grain of salt until you have official confirmation. Just googling specs you immediately have two conflicting results. One says GTX 2060, and another says GTX 1070. Don't believe any of them until it's actually confirmed by developers

One is the maximum being the 2060 and the minimum is a 1070. I seen lots of stuff on it and if it's coming from port key then I would say those specs would be correct. Especially with today's modern graphics.

my guess would be is that they would be relaxed towards you for OWLS due to you only getting to hogwarts and having year 5 be the first year you are at hogwarts. It would be cool to start from the 1st year but after the certain video that got deleted early last year i believe before the trailer released (if you saw it then you know what im talking about) it shows character creation and the character being created look like 5th years and not 1st year so very unlikely to start as a 1st year from what most of us have seen

I hope they just put Skyrim as their example, like every path you go, you will find a NPC or somethign that could give you new quests which you could do and decide to go somewhere else, it should have a good and big open world, besides hogworts too, because only hogworts that detailed would become boring quiet some time later.

If we talk about Skyrim, you should also have the options to steal every item in the world and if you get caught commiting a crime, you will have to go into Ascaban prisons or ven on court.

I think if they have an area where there are muggles, they should let you cast infront of them and if you do so then depending on the situation you could be expelled or sent to askaban

i was talking about that a few weeks ago and about how harry, ron, ginny and lockheart came out of some hole from the chamber of secrets with fawkes so we might at least be able to find the door with the face on it for the chamber but not go in the chamber itself because opening it requires you to speak parseltongue

then again the hole might have been caused by some event that doesnt happen until early to mid 1900's

or it might have been caused by lockhearts spell backfiring when using oblivate and thats why the boulders fell down and might have made the hole that was there so that means unless the chamber is somehow involved in the plot of the game (which is highly unlikely) that we wont see it but could hear a mention of the chamber from a student or teacher that is talking about salazar

but again unlikely due to them wanting to do a clean slate with the game

I think if we DO see multiplayer it'll be after release, not at launch. And hopefully it'd only be for Quidditch/possibly duels, maybe a separate mode where you queue for a match? I kinda don't want to be playing single player and be constantly getting pings asking to duel/race me in PVP.
