I wouldn't expect it, delays are usually not something that happens cause they want to implement something new, but rather because the stuff they have isn't the quality they want it to be. i am a rpg player so cheracters and cheracter dev is for me very important. I hope I get no hate for this because you are prob all huge fans, but i think harry,Ron and Hermane are kind of bland and boring I liked every other cheracter more for example in the trywizard turnament I liked every other cheracter more than the main cast exatioanlly the hufflepuff cheracter.

I'm a fan of the series, but also more of an rpg player. I think as I got older the characters got drier and I wasn't a fan of the ending relationships between characters, but still love it all the same

I feel like it's only this way because we spend so much time with the main heroes and so little time with every other character, so if you like role playing you can have a lot of fun imagining these characters whenever they're not around in the main story, however the main trio is explored in such depth that there's not really much room to 'play' with them

It's set up in book 4 and 5 that Harry does not care about the 'normal' romance tropes. He hates having to ask out girls, and their giggly behavior. When he goes on a date with Cho and just tells the truth, and Cho freaks out and gets jealous and starts crying. Harry couldn't stand any of it. Isn't the opposite of this exactly what Ginny is? She's not the jealous type, she's straight forward and chill. Which I think is what Harry saw in her, and throughout book 6 he slowly comes to the realization
