Besides I don't really think it holds them back very much anyway. The real selling point of new consoles seem to mostly be the increased loading time. Which the game will be able to utilize just fine even if it exists on last gen.

But may also be the fact I haven't played BOTW which may change that when you know how something new feels

I think for me, the freedom really makes it so much more enjoyable. Older zeldas felt quite linear to me, especially Skyward Sword. And I just have a thing where if a game doesn't have a jump button, I'm automatically having less fun. Because so much of my enjoyment in games is jumping around

with botw letting you climb, jump and parachute there's literally nothing stopping you from going exactly where you want
