I've been forcing myself to just keep writing on this gta script for a while now, and not start over. But I caved today and started over, but only cause I learned some really useful tricks since last time, and it was only like 360 lines or something, so nothing massive to rewrite

I remember when I helped work on Mosaic, the level designers wanted to add mountains and stuff to the background and on day one it was just a couple of pyramid shapes to get the silhouette, then a week later a rough custom model, then a month later some really fleshed out model, and half a year later it was just so beautiful looking, with nice textures, the sun peaking over the ridge, trees and birds flying

Oh now I've learned this and I can take this into account when I make it a second time. but I should really be doing it later. Like, get a prototype together with a couple of levels, see if plays well, then rewrite.

It's a bit weird you know, I had years between school and stable work where all I really did was play games and sometimes made stuff. but ever since I got a job back in December, I've been way more productive than I've ever been and I can't help but think I've wasted a lot of time :'D
