I've always said the only real difference between Slytherin and Ravenclaw is that Slytherins tend to be collectivists and Ravenclaws tend to be more individualist.

I don’t like characters that come right off the bet with traits they should get by evolving through life experience, true. However, with Harry, what he was in book 1 and what he was in book 7 should be two totally and drastically unrecognizably different people due to events that would send anyone else to a loony bin. Yet Harry emerges ever so slightly changed. His character growth, if any, is extremely minor, especially by comparison to others. Same goes for Voldemort. He was a great opportunity to create a really imposing villain, yet he’s like whiny b***. There was potential at the beginning of the series. I expected also more of his development as books went by, but hardly any happened.
