curious how many people have played the game multiple times but in different houses to see the different quests that your character can get involved in? in my opinion, the two coolest houses for quests to find "the missing pages" is Hufflepuff first followed by Gryffindor.

My Review of Hogwarts Legacy

I really enjoyed a lot about Hogwarts Legacy. The design of the castle is fantastic and feels alive with detail, and the choice of time period made a lot of sense in terms of fitting into the wider Wizarding World. The combat was fun, with spell duelling feeling satisfying and fluid, and the scenery around Hogwarts was beautiful to explore. The characters were also strong and engaging, which gave the story personality and helped me connect with the world.

On the negative side, there were several choices that really let the game down. Not including Quidditch at all, not even as delayed DLC, was a huge mistake. I didn’t like being pushed into a chosen one role, especially since there are no consequences for killing people near Hogwarts, which breaks immersion. The uniform design is also poor, since what players get doesn’t match the NPCs, making us stand out like sore thumbs. I also disliked the stamina bar on the broom, which takes away the freedom of flight. The story tried too hard to make me feel like a god, when what I really wanted was to build a friend group and experience school life. A co-op mode with 4–8 players would have made the game far better, as would deeper Common Rooms that actually felt alive beyond the first visit. There should have been more classes and lore to really lean into the Hogwarts roleplay. I also found it strange that many iconic spells are missing, yet the Killing Curses are present. Finally, potion making felt lazy and uninspired, a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance made the process immersive, while here it’s just clicking a button, waiting, and picking it up like an Amazon delivery.

Just thinking about HL2. If they do make a direct sequel, they should make the first game's save file compatible for continuity purposes. Most importantly choices like, wand, house, ||reservoir at end game||, and finally ||what you do with Sebastian.|| It would also be nice to get a 5th year textbook to reward returning players that lets you unlock all spells that you had at end of first game. (To use or not could be left up to player, so they don't feel forced if they want a challenge)

Just found out this game had a companion system that was removed. You were originally supposed to be able to tag secondary characters to follow you on your quests. There are certain diolgue still in the game they will make during these quests if you use the companion mod to get them to join you.
