I downloaded the new update along with the latest drivers for my video card that were provided. The installation went through successfully, but my system still says it doesn’t meet the requirements.

My brother insists that I need Windows 11, but the download page still states that Windows 10 is supported.

I was able to reach the start screen, played around with the mod attachment, and downloaded some mods. However, when I powered up the mod features and launched the game, I could hear the music and sounds, but the screen stayed black.

Could this be a video card issue? I updated it as required by the new update, so I’m wondering if the game should be running but is having some kind of video output issue.

You could reinstall the game, yes. Im not certain it will fix the problem, but it might.
Before you do that do, try verifiying the integrity of the files (a quick google will tell you how to do that)

It looks like the Creator Kit might cause problems, so if you have that installed, uninstall that and verify your files again. Make sure your drivers are up to date (you said they are so youre good) and restart your PC before playing.

I updated my game and couldnt start it. I then uninstalled the Creator Kit and verified my files. Now it booted again

Admittedly, I am playing on a PC with an RTX 4070 and an intel i7-14700k so its is quite good

Hmm... add back the mods folder, but empty. It would have to have the same capitalization as the original (assuming you hadn't already done this). That's a general thought that might help. Reinstall everything and verify files is another. Past that, I have no idea.

I had the crash when clicking on "Play Mods" menu option. It turned out Windows Defender was blocking access to the Documents folder

I found it from Windows security -> history. I sadly have Estonian Windows so don't know exact termonology

Once I clicked on the blocked access thing and allowed it, it worked
