I was rereading the books lately and just realized something. Throughout the end books it's always said and assumed that Umbrdge isn't a Voldemort supporter, or a death eater and just is a pureblooded git.

But why is it that in order of the Phoenix, that the very first teacher she tries to sack, is Trelawney.....

From what we know Trelawney is a pure blood and no other reason to dislike her other then not liking divinations, yet she detests Mudbloods and half bloods way more... So just doesn't make much sense to go for her first over say Hagrid.

So why is it she targets and sacks the very person who made the prophecy about Harry and Voldemort in the first place, the very item Voldemort has been trying to get his hands on from the beginning of the book.
