Each member of the golden trio represents a house. Harry would be Hufflepuff because he's incredibly loyal, even to a fault.

Ron would be Ravenclaw, he's incredibly "street smart" ravenclaw isn't just the "smart house" it's more about the individual interest, which he has a lot of.

Hermione would be slytherin because of her huge ambition and drive. She wants to be the greatest Witch of her time (or even all time) and she will do what it takes to get that end goal.

And I add Neville to this because he's the true Gryffindor of the group. He is truly brave to continue to be his authentic self even with all that he faced from both family and those at school.

I would disagree with your house choices for Ron and Hermione. I would flip them. Ron wants to be in the spotlight. He wants people to see him as great which we could see from his vision in the Mirror of Erised. He is a very jealous person and he lets that jealousy consume him multiple times. Hermione is not looking to be great in the sense of powerful. She wants to know everything. That’s why she reads absolutely everything she could and why she took far too many classes with the time turner. She is obsessed with learning everything there is to be a witch and I think some of the drive comes from how purebloods look down on the muggleborns.
