Dunno linux is so core to cybersecurity idk how you can get by without having used linux at all. Not using linux as a desktop? Ok sure. Never have used linux at all, even via wsl, a vps, or even just a vm? Thats ridiculous. I will be buying a new laptop regardless. I’m going to be travelling with work for training purposes and I want to be able to play games during my downtime as well which the laptop as I said was never capable of doing. It managed to barely run Hearthstone but would only last a game or two before it would start getting too hot and lagging. It doesn’t have the specs to run those kind of things.

It was a laptop that I could fold the keyboard behind the screen and it would act like a tablet. It was useful for what I needed it to do at the time.

It’s not holding me back at all. I’m currently not doing anything because my job is unstable at the moment because major changes are happening. I have downtime now but I don’t know if that will hold true next month.

They’re going to go through some major staffing reorganisation and change operating standards and schedules. We have about 200 employees being affected by these changes.

No one is losing their job but positions are being lost and changed causing those people to be placed in unassigned positions until everyone gets placed into the newly created positions.

I’m either going to be shoved to an entirely new shift or my hours will change by one hour but with the major operating changes being done I may not have any downtime at all.

If it sounds like a cluster that makes no sense… that’s because it is just like everything else they seem to do.
