Major difference between an extrovert and introvert. You enjoy socialising and talking while introverts like myself find the whole process exhausting. It’s not that we can’t be bothered to be decent people or don’t want to take an effort it is that the entire activity takes far more energy and effort for us. Unfortunately for me, I feel like I’ve been in the most physically, mentally, and emotionally taxing marathon after a large social gathering and need time to recover before doing something like that again. Interactions between a single person take less of a toll but I do reach a point where I need to get away from all interactions and recover.

Extroverts are the opposite side of the spectrum. They feed off the energy of others so socialising and being around others gives them energy rather than drains it.
